A New Study Proposes Dark Chocolate Helpful In Reducing Stress In Humans

Dark chocolate, as per 2 new studies, can decrease stress and perk up your memory—and particularly, this study did not discover the results to compare with the chocolate’s sugar content. It concentrated exclusively on the cacao concentration, with the research teams noting that the findings are quite hopeful, indeed.

We have long recognized that cacao is an enriched resource of flavonoids. As flavonoids and antioxidants have an anti-inflammatory result on the human body, getting with it a considerable set of advantages for our immune systems; in fact, flavonoid-rich diets are linked to the prevention of cardiovascular & neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.

The new study, which was represented at the Experimental Biology 2018 conference in San Diego, California, is prominent for being “the foremost time that we’ve observed the influence of huge cacao amounts in doses as little as a regular-sized chocolate bar over long or short time periods in humans,” as said by Lee S. Berk, the study’s Principal Investigator.

As per the results, the chocolate you eat requires containing a cacao percentage of at least 70% so as to get the best of its benefits. In the first research, the consumption of cacao at this percentage was established to “up-regulate several intracellular signaling pathways engaged in the activation of T-cells, cellular immune reaction, and genes entailed in neural signaling sensory perception.”

In the meantime, the second research established that 70% cacao “improves neuroplasticity for brain and behavioral benefits.” On the whole, the findings propose that consuming 70% cacao on a regularly can improve your immune system, enhance your memory, and decrease your stress levels.
